Book Let Me Love You (All of Me Duet Book 2) Review :

Spoilers. Sorry but it is what it is.Seriously? These 2 books are a hot mess.Reeve and Viv were broken up so that decision was right to be between Reeve and Saffron but he still should have told Viv. I get that. Viv was broken up with Reeve when she slept with his unknowing twin brother that didn't apparently look much like his identical twice. (another issue I have:In the entire world of 7 million people she manages to find his twin a world away? Wow, I am not sure if that’s luck or a bad case of fate.) Despite his knowing who she is, he is angry, disgusting and vile to her. Somehow she falls in love with him? PLEASE! Because apparently something ingrained in him must resonate, probably because he shares DNA with her REAL love. Then he comes back into her life 5 years later after she has reconciled for that duration with her husband. Dillon blackmails her, forces her and her husband, Reeve to go through so much turmoil and BAM! Reeve is dead!? Reeve, her life time love is dead and takes their baby with that death from a car crash?Really? This horrible brother, Dillon is now all of a sudden, forgiven and then she falls back into mad love with him? Really? After all the bitterness, hatefullness and the loss of her husband and daughter due to Dillons’ actions....and low and behold, she's in love again! ? Then she finds out about the baby from 6 years ago with that hideous witch Saffron, which the writers put in to basically make Reeve look like the bad guy. Never mind all Dillon has done. I'm sorry, Viv is feeble. She is incompetent to stand on her own and she loves beyond reason. I was heartbroken at the ending of Reeve and Viv and devastated by the union of her and Dillon after all this. Dillon indirectly caused her husbands death and her daughters as well. And she goes rushing back into his arms? AWWW HELL NO! That's just not even reasonable. I'm so sickened by this. 2 books of push and pull for it to end this way. No. I get not every book is a happy ever after the way we, the reader wishes… My happy ever after for Viv would have been to ditch Dillon for the scoundrel he was and remove herself from his family all together. Find love with someone that didn't destroy her more times than one can count and find a normal relationship. Just ugggghhhhh. Lastly, I am so angry with Dillons superiority complex at the end. He fails to acknowledge his role in this. Viv and Reeve were broken up when Dillon and Viv met. Reeve never wanted Saffron, only Viv. Dillons' HATE/REVENGE relationship is the catalyst for all the loss. Reeve and Saffron only got down once after he saw pictures of Viv with Dillon while doped up. Though R&V were broke up she was healing and planning to return home. Then Dillon decides revenge against his BROTHER. Then after Reeves' death, Dillon is flipping the bird and being nasty at Reeves memory and grave and takes every moment to tear down vivs memories of him with his lack of recollection of his role in all this. Had he not revenge screwed Viv to get back at his brother, none of this would have happened. He also wouldn’t have fallen in love with her and became obsessed enough to try and ruin HER in the mix. Had he not come back 5 years later, this wouldn't have happened. His actions hurt Reeve for 1 week before his death. Yet the woman he proclaimed to LOVE is the one suffering the rest of her life in mourning over her lost child and husband because of DILLONS’ threats. Again, if he just left them alone but he was the “SELFISH PRICK” he kept calling Reeve after reeve died. I could not get on board with Viv absolving Dillon and then getting back into a relationship with him. He manipulated and used her to get back at Reeve , he wasn't any better than Saffron. In some way he managed to still get the girl while Reeves memory is raked over coals? Reeve hid the baby to give it a good life and still have Viv in his. He sacrificed for her and it sounded like it killed him to do so. What did Dillon do ONCE that was selfless? NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Oh wait...he adopted his brothers bio son, his nephew. (But that child stands to inherit a fortune so yeah, i see why this selflrss act occured. )He brought a pierce D%$# to the table and animal sex. Oh, and Easton…but if he hadn’t gone in with the intentions of destroying her so Reeve would be hurt, it wouldn’t have happened. But I guess this filled pages for the book. This just made me sick. and all these glowing reviews about how wonderful the story was. I'm with Alex...the wrong twin died. Had he left well enough alone, 1 child wouldn't have needed to be hidden because the drunked doped up sex wouldn't have happened. One man would still be with his lifelong forever. One baby girl would have been born. So much pain, but Hey! Dillon got everything he wanted. Guess that's all that matters. HATED this.
Not sure what all the 5 star reviews are about. 2 stars because of the writing. The story itself was off the mark. Book one was great and I was team Vivian until you get to that unnecessary disaster of an ending. Then continuing on to this book two, the guy that finally got the girl was more of a consolation prize because we needed a HEA due to the nature of this genre.*Spoilers*Throughout the whole book Vivian was always going on and on about how much she loved Reeve and missed him. Okay, I get it. She married him, he died. Grief is different for everyone. But at the same time, once she decided to move on with her life with Dillion, she needed to move on and be all in with Dillion. Quit making him feel like second best and he wasn’t good enough. Poor guy did everything for her and at one point she even called him by Reeve’s name while they were in bed. Dillion should’ve walked away. He deserved better. Take his son and walked away.Reeve was a psycho with his “love.” If he hadn’t died, he would’ve turned psychotic. But I guess that’s what Vivian wanted. She didn’t deserve Dillion’s love and loyalty. Yes, he screwed up but he was man enough to own up to his mistakes. Vivian’s precious Reeve hid his mistakes and pretended that they didn’t exist.Still and won’t ever be a fan of Vivian. Even until the very end of the book, her love for Dillion didn’t seem real. Again, he was more like her consolation prize. Dillion was and is the better man whom Vivian did not deserve because she didn’t love him. She said she did but her actions said otherwise. It was always all about Reeve for her.
